The Children's Cabinet is seeking a relationship-focused fundraising professional to help build, steward, and grow relationships with individual donors, Foundation Trustees, and corporate partners to advance our mission of keeping children safe and families together.

We recognize candidates bring varying levels of experience and expertise. Depending on qualifications, demonstrated leadership capacity, and fundraising experience, selected candidates may be hired as either a Donor Relations Coordinator or Donor Relations Manager, with responsibilities, portfolio ownership, and compensation aligned accordingly.

This position focuses on donor engagement, strategic relationship-building, cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising growth while partnering closely with the Donor Relations Director to support organizational fundraising goals.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required for events and donor engagement activities.

Supervision: Community volunteers

Duties

  • Work closely with agency leadership and the Donor Relations Director to support fundraising goals, donor retention efforts, and new donor cultivation.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of agency programs and impact to effectively communicate opportunities and inspire donor investment.
  • Build and steward meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage donor engagement activities and maintain clear relationship strategies and next steps.
  • Identify and research prospective donors and corporate partners through networking, referrals, community engagement, and internal leads.
  • Conduct donor conversations and meetings to better understand interests and connect donors with meaningful giving opportunities.
  • Prepare donor presentations, proposals, impact updates, and communication materials.
  • Coordinate with Programs, Finance, and Marketing to gather information needed for donor engagement and reporting.
  • Represent The Children's Cabinet at donor events, tours, community meetings, and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within CRM systems including interactions, proposals, contact reports, and relationship notes.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding donor information and organizational strategies.
  • Track activity, outcomes, and relationship progression.

Additional Manager-Level Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage an active donor portfolio with revenue goals and fundraising performance expectations.
  • Develop donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Lead donor meetings and gift solicitations.
  • Develop annual donor acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, forecast revenue, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with the Donor Relations Director on strategic fundraising planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

Coordinator Level

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in fundraising, sales, customer engagement, nonprofit work, community outreach, or relationship-building preferred

Manager Level

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience OR 10 years relevant work experience
  • Major gifts, fundraising, sales, or relationship management experience preferred

For All Levels:

  • Be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work, events, and errands.
  • Must possess a valid Nevada Driver's license, proof of insurance for utilizing a personal vehicle for company business, and a clean driving record.
  • Must be capable of fulfilling all the physical aspects of the job including but not limited to: being able to lift and carry 50 lbs.; able to walk up and down stairs, repetitive keystroking (initiating and responding to e-mails; typing copy, etc.)
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends. Some travel required; office visits and/or training.
