Definition
The Youth and Family Support Manager role encompasses a multifaceted approach to addressing the emergency and basic needs of families within the community and is responsible for wrap-around case management, family navigators, client entry point management, and Market coordination. This Manager ensures seamless access to vital services and oversees a team dedicated to providing comprehensive support, guiding families through various assistance programs, and connecting them with essential resources. With a commitment to empowering families, the Youth and Family Support Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the well-being and stability of the community. In addition to program oversight, the Youth and Family Support Manager will also have primary responsibilities related to program funding, including emergency client funding, administration, staff supervision, and community relations. This position reports to the Youth Support and Intervention Director.
Distinguishing Characteristics
An understanding of child development, work, youth, and family issues, and wrap-around case management. Requires proven experience in case management, social services, or related fields, with a strong understanding of family dynamics and community resources. Demonstrated skills in leadership with experience in supervising and developing staff required.
Supervision Exercised - Coordinators, Specialists and Program Support Staff
Duties:
- Achieve an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas and overall goals and objectives and contribute to the success of these areas.
- Read, understand, and apply all agency and department policy and procedures set forth by the Agency Handbook
- Oversee wrap-around case management services for families in need, ensuring comprehensive support tailored to individual requirements.
- Manage a team of family navigators and wrap around family case managers, providing guidance and support in assisting families with accessing vital services and resources.
- Supervise front desk operations, ensuring efficient client intake processes and maintaining a welcoming environment for families seeking assistance.
- Coordinate pantry operations, including inventory management, distribution, and volunteer coordination, to ensure families have access to essential food resources.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Recruit, hire, evaluate job performance and contribute to staff development for direct reports
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to expand service offerings and enhance resource accessibility for families.
- Develop and implement strategies to address the unique needs of youth within the community, fostering positive development and support networks.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting data and feedback to inform continuous
improvement efforts to Program Director. - Provide regular reports and updates to the Youth Support and Intervention Director on program
activities, outcomes, and challenges. - Utilize data insights to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making processes.
- Assist Program Director in budget planning and management for programs.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines through spending approvals
and monthly review of program financial reports. - Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant data, and evaluation results.
Minimum Qualifications

Special Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human services or closely relevant field. If you have the required equivalent experience, you may be considered for employment without the required bachelor's or other college degree.
- 5+ years experience in case management, social services, or related fields, with a strong understanding of
family dynamics and community resources.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervision and management
- Must have reliable transportation for work and possess a valid Nevada's Driver's License and proof of
insurance for utilizing a personal vehicle for company business
- May be required to work some evenings and weekends.
- May be required to travel in state and out of state for training.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
License or Certificate
