Definition
Parent Services Coordinator directs the day-to-day operations of parent support services in southern Nevada. This includes providing direct services to support Wraparound Case Managers and Resource and Referral (R&R) Specialists, scheduling of staff, coverage, parent referrals, case planning, referrals to community resources, etc. The Program Coordinator is responsible for case audits and assisting with completing monthly reports and outcomes to ensure program integrity.

Duties
- Achieve an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas, culture, and overall goals and objectives and contribute to the success of these areas
- Read, understand, and apply all agency and department policy and procedures set forth in both the Agency Handbook and CCR&R Program Manual
- Achieves a high level of understanding of the Child Care State Manual and implements consistently while guiding assigned staff
- Responsible for managing the statewide child care subsidy wait list
- Provide support to staff to assess the needs of families and work with other Cabinet services and community partners to create a closed referral system to ensure the needs of parents are met
- Assist staff with reviewing emergency needs and rental assistance requests when available
- Provide coverage to Case Managers and support families through evidence-based case management
- Responsible for the auditing of client files, computerized case management, and overall compliance with Child Care Subsidy Program regulations
- Works with Manager to update policies and procedures to meet funder requirements ensuring best practices and current research is included
- Achieves knowledge of funding source(s) and program reporting requirements
- Enters, updates, and monitors computerized client databases(s) for the identified program and uses this information to update monthly outcomes
- Evaluates measurable outcomes to identify trends in programming and provide recommendations to Manager based on these trends
- Assist parents with complaints about program and/or child care services, mediate as needed, and advise parents of proper procedure for resolution of grievances
- Under supervision of Program Manager, monitor program budget line items to achieve objectives within budgeted amounts
- Responsible for the training and orientation of new specialists to include data systems, DWSS program requirements, evidence-based case management, and standard operating procedures
- Provide leadership and support to assigned staff, including their overall supervision, performance planning and evaluation
- Models communication and behavior that aligns with The Children's Cabinet culture, guiding principles, and values
- Lead team meetings and attend and participate and agency staff meetings and other events
- Assist in the ongoing strengthening of the Cabinet's partnership with DWSS
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of

Special Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human service field or equivalent experience and education in human services
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience
- Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid Nevada Driver's License, and have current insurance if using a personal vehicle for company work
- Requires travel in state and out of state for training and/or home visits

They will use this data to improve program implementation. They are responsible for preparing reports for their Program Managers so they may analyze to support continuous improvements.

Problem-Solving: Program Coordinators must be able to identify issues or challenges that arise during program implementation and develop solutions to address them promptly and address with their Program Managers. This requires critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
9. Compliance and Documentation: Program Coordinators need to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and records related to the program's activities and supervisory related documentation.
10. Relationship Building: Building and maintaining positive relationships with team members is crucial for the success of the program. Program Coordinators need to solicit feedback, conduct evaluations, and implement changes based on lessons learned to achieve program goals.
