Definition
The Provider Support Director provides statewide leadership and oversight for provider support services, early childhood development initiatives, parent and community child care programs, and quality improvement efforts. This position requires extensive knowledge of Early Childhood Education, Nevada's child care system, licensing regulations, provider recruitment and retention efforts, and professional development systems. The Director is responsible for ensuring high-quality provider support services, maintaining International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accreditation standards, and advancing initiatives that strengthen the capacity and quality of Nevada's child care providers.
The Director works closely with executive leadership, program directors, community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality services, continuous quality improvement, and sustainable growth of Nevada's early childhood workforce and provider network.

Duties
- Assist staff in achieving an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas, goals, and objectives.
- Oversee and lead provider support services and early childhood development initiatives.
- Oversee business outreach strategies designed to engage, recruit, retain, and strengthen licensed child care providers throughout Nevada.
- Ensure services and support comply with State of Nevada licensing regulations.
- Analyze current statewide provider support services to develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of child care services provided by licensed providers throughout Nevada.
- Collaborate with child care providers, community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify provider needs and develop quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accreditation standards established by IACET in all provider training opportunities.
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, spending projections and ensure effective stewardship of grant and agency resources in partnership with Finance and Executive Leadership.
- Ensure program services meet grant objectives, contractual requirements, and performance outcomes.
- Develop annual work plans, performance objectives, and strategic initiatives related to quality improvement and provider and community engagement.
- Serve as a Leadership Team member and contribute to agency-wide strategic planning and decision-making.
- Partner with Human Resources to support recruitment, performance management, succession planning, employee development, and organizational culture.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and support assigned staff.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of leadership development, supervision, budget management, nonprofit operations, program evaluation, outcome measurement, community resources, and early childhood systems.
Ability To
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Provide leadership and guidance to provider support staff.
- Work collaboratively in a team and leadership capacity.
- Implement and monitor program budgets and outcomes.
Special Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive knowledge of State of Nevada licensing regulations.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in Early Childhood Education, CCR&R services, provider support, or related fields.
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory and management experience.
- Valid Nevada Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
- May be required to work some evenings and weekends.
- May be required to travel in state and out of state for training.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs.

License or Certificate
- Able to pass complete background check.

5. Risk Management: Program directors are responsible for identifying potential risks that may impact the program's success and developing mitigation strategies to address them. This includes monitoring risks throughout the program and implementing contingency plans when necessary.
6. Budget Development: They must develop the program budget, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently and effectively to meet project goals within budget constraints. This involves tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and making adjustments as needed.
7. Quality Assurance: Program directors are accountable for the overall quality of deliverables and outcomes produced by the program. They must establish quality standards, monitor progress against these standards, and implement measures to address any deviations or deficiencies.
8. Team Development: They are responsible for building and nurturing a high-performing team by providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development. This includes fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel motivated and valued.
9. Adaptability: Program directors should be adaptable and able to manage change effectively, as programs often encounter unforeseen challenges or changes in requirements. They must be able to adjust plans and strategies accordingly to keep the program on track.
