The QRIS mentor coach will provide temporary support to programs operating in school districts and/or licensed child care locations in an effort to maintain consistent quality until a new coach is assigned to their quality early learning programs. This position requires an understanding of best practices in Early Childhood Education; State of Nevada licensing regulations; school district Pre-K Programming; Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS) and/or Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS); Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS), and Nevada’s Silver State Stars QRIS. The Mentor Coach will model best practices in early childhood education in all aspects of this position.


The Quality Specialist will provide early childhood professional development on Pyramid Model practices through training, technical assistance, hands on guidance, one-on-one support and resource sharing. In collaboration with the Regional Pyramid Model Coordinator this position will provide support to early childhood programs to effectively address challenging behavior with the goal of preventing suspension and expulsion. This position requires an understanding of child development, quality early childhood education, and licensing regulations.


This position is responsible to process provider timesheets for accounting procedures for Child Care Resource and Referral Subsidy Department. The subsidy reimbursement processor includes screening incoming timesheets for accuracy and reimbursing childcare providers subsidy monies in a timely manner. This position will also assist in the maintenance of provider files as well as providing clerical support. 

This is a full-time position reporting to the Subsidy Reimbursement Coordinator.


The Provider Professional Development Out-of-School Time (OST) Specialist will support Las Vegas child care providers in registering and maintaining compliance in the child care subsidy system through onsite and community based consultation and training. This position will support the provider registration into the child care subsidy program, and offer monitoring visits and training support to meet their ongoing requirements. This position requires an understanding of early childhood development, indicators of quality child care, cultural disparities and barriers to accessing services, and best practices for adult education.


ECSN teachers provide temporary care in child care centers and licensed family child care homes. We can service anywhere from 6-week-old (infant) to elementary school age (after-school program, in-home provider who have after-school kids. This is a full time position that may include a variable schedule, accountable to the quality program coordinator. Specific training will be provided to meet basic criteria for providing quality child care. There are special requirements listed for this position due to child care regulations.

This includes answering the Safe Place Hotline, conducting in-person interventions, coordinating shelter placement, and supporting youth through critical transitions.
