This Workforce Development/Education Manager will oversee all workforce and development programs serving youth 14-26 at The Children's Cabinet in Reno, Nevada, including YouthBuild, Education and Training Voucher program, Redfield Academy, and Continued Success. The primary role is to oversee and manage various aspects of programs to ensure successful implementation, manage programmatic staff, and manage multiple funding sources.

This Program Coordinator is a member of Management that helps oversee workforce development programs within the Family Youth and Intervention Department with an emphasis on Washoe Youth Build implementation. As a Work Force Development program coordinator, your primary role is to oversee and manage the various aspects of the workforce programming to ensure successful implementation across several vocational programs. This position serves as the primary link between the programs, the clients, Case Managers, stake holders and partners. This position reports to the Program Manager.

The Front Desk/Program Assistant staff will be responsible for greeting visitors, fielding phone calls, record maintenance, accepting registration for provider professional development training, assisting with community outreach events, assisting with provider professional development and parent training classes, and general clerical duties such as data entry and supply ordering. The Front Desk/Program Support Staff is responsible for maintaining program documentation, data entry into databases, generating and sharing reports, maintaining learning environments, and communicating with all instructors, learners and program staff. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.

Redfield Case Managers provide wraparound case management services to youth attending Redfield Academy—an alternative education setting for Washoe County students at risk of dropping out of high school. These students have the opportunity to recover credits and work toward graduation with a traditional diploma, either at Redfield or through re-entry into a traditional school setting.

Case management services emphasize strengths, sustainable solutions, and community support. Case Managers assist youth and families through advocacy, crisis intervention, academic and graduation planning, and facilitation of support systems. Our wraparound model is family-driven, rooted in strengths, and supported by a collaborative team-based approach. Redfield Case Managers also work closely with school district personnel, teachers, and support staff to address barriers to student success.

The Redfield Academy Teacher plays a vital role in providing tailored academic instruction and support to students at RA and participants in Washoe YouthBuild programs. This collaborative position with the Washoe County School District and The Children’s Cabinet involves organizing and implementing an instructional program aligned with district standards and policies, ensuring students achieve academic success

The Resource & Referral Community Navigator will connect child care providers and parents with child care resource needs, help navigate any eligibility or documentation requirements, a warm/personal referral to service partners and services, and will follow-up to ensure the provider or parent was successful in getting their needs met. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of early childhood development, Nevada’s early childhood system, resources and services, and work/life issues.
